The central warehouse has about 25-30 employees and is responsible for the region's material supply through purchasing services and depot operations. The central warehouse purchases and stocks approximately 1,900 items, with the largest customers being Region Blekinge and Region Kronoberg.

About the Job

As a warehouse worker at the central warehouse, you are part of the logistics unit, which also includes the transport department and the department for care-related services. As a warehouse worker, you will work with traditional warehouse management and order picking. The work may also involve sterile handling in the central warehouse's sterile department. Your tasks will also include receiving parcels by scanning, sorting packages, restocking pallets in shelving, and filling and replenishing picking areas. The job as a whole places high demands on accuracy, flexibility, and stress resistance. You will work in a team consisting of several employees who collectively work towards set goals where order and tidiness are prerequisites for logistics to function. There are many tasks in the daily work such as picking, packing, and inventory where heavy lifting may sometimes be involved. If you have a forklift license, you may also be required to operate a forklift.

The vacation period is from week 26 to week 33 and begins with about a week of training.

About You

We are looking for someone who has completed high school education. You must be at least 18 years old, and we prefer that you have experience in similar work. As a person, you have good collaboration skills, are meticulous, and can easily adapt to new conditions. It is advantageous if you have a forklift license and experience in warehouse work. Computer skills are required, and knowledge of Sesam 2 is an advantage since all reporting is done in that system. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Please attach your grades from your completed high school/vocational education. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

Region Blekinge's organization is divided into six areas of responsibility, one of which is regional services. Here, resources for regional properties, property technology, cleaning, logistics, meal services, central warehouse, and customer service are gathered. The primary mission of regional services is to own, manage, and develop Region Blekinge's properties and leased premises. The area also provides and develops service functions within cleaning, meal, material, and textile supply.

The unit for Logistics and Meal Services consists of departments within kitchen and restaurant, café and shop, transport and janitorial services, as well as a resource unit.
